Hi, my name is Camiel, thank you for stopping by. I’m a husband and proud father of three, an Apple fanboy, a runner, a reader, and a photography enthusiast. In my spare time, I’m usually tinkering with a new software or hardware side project.

I call Oudewater, the Netherlands, home. I have been living here with my family since 2006.

Personal Interests

• I like LEGO Technic and jigsaw puzzles, and I often pick up one or both during longer holidays. They help me decompress and ease into a relaxed holiday rhythm.
• I love tinkering with both software and hardware. Right now, I’m experimenting with Home Assistant and exploring modern web technologies using WordPress and Jekyll (this website). I’m also drawn to anything related to electrical engineering and networking, and I’ve become a bit of a UniFi collector.
• I enjoy reading crime novels and biographies of fascinating people in politics, product, and technology.
• I’m a fan of strong coffee. Depending on the time of day, I usually go for either a double espresso or a flat white.
• I’m a photography enthusiast and occasionally try to capture some decent shots myself.
